Can cut out of the box but ideally needs honing, which I am reluctant to do because of the black powder coating…but it’s going to need sharpening at some point. Amazing quality and value for money. Feels very comfortable in the hand and seems indestructible. The sheath is functional and well designed. The extra fire steel loop is a nice bonus.
