The Leatherman Signal Granite Grey is the ideal multi-tool for survival enthusiasts. This tool distinguishes itself from the rest with a couple of specific tools that come in handy when entering the wilderness. It is, for instance, enhanced with an emergency whistle, firesteel, a diamond sharpening stone and many more practical tools. The blunt end of the tool functions as a hammer and carabiner when closed. You can also use it to open a bottle. But that is not all, it has a small tab to secure the tool when closed. The standard pocket clip enables you to carry the tool in your pocket even without a sheath.
This is the special Granite Grey edition. The frame is enhanced with a matt-grey coating, the tools are silver-coloured/enhanced with a satin finish. The emergency whistle and the handle of the diamond sharpener are made from yellow plastic. It is important to know that at first the tool is a little stiff, and that in some places the coating needs to worn in a little. Once worn in the Leatherman Signal will move smoothly.
The blade is made from 420HC steel and is partially serrated. Practical when cutting through rope and other high-fibre materials. The wire cutters in the pliers can be replaced. So if you were a little rough on them you can easily exchange the cutting parts. Also incredibly practical if you want to sharpen them. The design has a few bright yellow parts, that will definitely stand out if you drop your tool by accident.
