## A2 steel blade
A2 is a tough type of strong tool steel that retains its sharpness well. An advantage of A2 is that it is easy to sharpen. Even when you are out in the field with limited means. Do, however, be careful with rust: A2 is not completely stainless. Pay close attention when working with moisture, salt and acids. This could change the colour of the blade or establish a patina. So clean it after use and occasionally add a couple drops of oil.
The comfortable handle is made from micarta. A strong and light-weight material, made from linen and synthetic resin. Feels comfortable in hand, even in wet or cold circumstances.
